Membership Calendar

What Is It?

The CCUIH Membership Calendar is a product of our efforts to streamline communication across the CCUIH membership and to make the CCUIH website an increasingly well-rounded resource for all of our members. Contained inside this resource are key dates related to consortium-wide and local board meetings, significant dates related to our policy advocacy efforts, as well as community events such as powwows, GONAs, and other celebrations.

The purpose of this new resource is to increase awareness of  our members of one another, and increase awareness of potential opportunities for networking, enhanced cross-community participation, as well as being more conscious of the work of CCUIH staff.

If there is an event you want to include on the calendar, feel free to either submit it using the form on our Contact  page or email the event details directly to us at communications@ccuih.org with the subject line: Calendar Event.

BAAITS Powwow @ Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion
Feb 3 @ 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Make plans for the 7th Annual BAAITS Powwow on February 3, 2018 at the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, California. The Bay Area American Indian (BAAITS) Two Spirits Powwow is a free community event, open to the public. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of the BAAITS Powwow mission. The BAAITS Powwow draws some of the area’s top dancers together for a day of fun and appreciation of the Native American Two Spirit tradition. The BAAITS Powwow embraces traditional Native American culture while also providing a uniquely San Francisco experience. Who should attend: Everyone is welcome. This is a family-friendly, clean and sober event.

Vendors will be on site selling frybread, buffalo burgers, Native art and jewelry, and other wares to the expected crowd of over 3,500. The Native American Health Center will also be in attendance providing free health screenings. The BAAITS Powwow features contest dances; all powwow dancers and drums are welcome.
